Bio

Andrea Griego was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she experienced the deep culture for natural healing modalities. At a young age, she was fascinated by the way Latin (Curanderas) and Native American healers used plants (tinctures, teas, herbal wraps and compressions), massage, good intention, meditation and prayer to help those in need. Her grandmother often called a woman healer to the family home to treat various illnesses for members of her family. Andrea found this amazing and mysterious and admired the power this healer possessed – simple yet significant and natural. These encounters planted a seed within her.

When Andrea moved to Phoenix, she left 10 plus years of corporate automation and sales jobs behind to reconnect to her passion. Embarking on a path aimed at helping people with their physical, mental and emotional pain, she became a Certified Bikram Yoga Instructor and owned and operated The Bikram Yoga Institute for 13 years.

In addition to teaching at, owning, and operating the yoga studio, Andrea continued her body therapeutics practice. During her 18 years as a massage therapist in the Phoenix area, she has worked with clients going through rehabilitation, professionals in high stress jobs, individuals suffering from emotional challenges, and athletes of all levels including players from the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Coyotes, PGA, Arizona Diamond Backs and San Francisco Giants.
